Gene asks if anyone has problems staining Autocyte smears for IHC:
When we purchased our Autocyte in 1999 we noticed we got a non-specific staining all over the smear. We put it down to the special collecting fluid. (The non-specific staining was brown with DAB, and red with AEC)
The company was of no help, and referred us to someone in Argentina!
I was also curious about Gene's email, because I put a query about this subject on the Histonet in 1999, and did not get a single comment! Well, I did get one, a nice lady in Kansas City contacted me last year about this same subject.
I guess there are not too many Autocytes around.
