Timm's silver sulfide method will show zinc, a colleague used to use it
in mouse CNS. Requires special fixation if I remember correctly. Also,
dimethylglyoxime will react with zinc to give a cherry red color (I think).
I don't know if either of these two methods is specific for zinc.
