Re-removal of dab from tissue sections

From:Clarke Ian <clarke.ian@virgin.net>

Hi Cynthia,
The project that is proposed is to carry out immuno on smears with a new
antibody which is then stained conventionally with PAP stain .This is
supposed to aid the management of borderline cases which are difficult to
interpret. However , the procedures we use at the minute for our immuno's
utilise DAB , our pathologists want the smears returned to the original
state hence my query about DAB removal or the possibility of a chromogen
that could be removed once bound but had to be resistant to some extent to
alcohol due to the counterstaining by PAP.
