howdy all

Why is there such an obsession to use methyl green as a counterstain when
thionin is a much more beautiful, and user friendly stain to use ?
It not only stains nuclei and cytoplasm, but also contrasts equally well
with DAB or red chromogens.
Try it and you'll never go back to methyl green or haematoxylin for that
matter.
