By miscible I meant that there are chemical properties to some that do not 
jive" well with some detections and others that do, for example I used an 
automated manufacturers diluent with another companys antibody and got no 
staining, however when I did the same dilutions with the antibody 
manufacturers diluent and kept the same detection, I got staining, so somehow 
the diluent ( which was the only variable ) same case, same tissue , same 
detection, same machine................did not mix well with the detection.   
 Seen this in quite a few cases, lead me to do quite a bit of testing.
