Dear Glenda;

In response to your request for information on digital photography systems, I
would just like to make you aware of ARGOS. Argos is a digital MACRO system
for use in the grossing station or anywhere images of specimens other than
microscopic are required. It is a great time saving tool, as it reduces the
amount of descriptive narrative required for transcriptions during grossing.

The ARGOS system is a turn key and interfaces with any existing LIN software.
It can also be used as a stand alone system and any Windows program which
opens JPEG files can be used to open, cut, paste and print the images.

ARGOS uses an industrial video camera and is calibrated so specimens can be
accurately measured and block taking recorded. Image rendering is "live."
Text comments can also be added. The operation is foot pedal controlled so
hands remain free to manipulate the specimen. ARGOS can be ordered with a
waterproof mouse and keyboard, very suitable for any grossing area.

With imaging becoming any important element in pathology reporting, we feel
ARGOS can make a major contribution by providing accurate visual information
of a case long before it has reached the microscopic level. After all, a
picture is worth a thousand words!

Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
