RE: procedure staining for bone and cartilage

Andrea
We have tried a few techniques for this, the results are worth the
extra effort if you want a dual stain of bone and cartilage, the best was
A procedure for differential staining of cartilage and bone in whole
formalin fixed vertebrates
Richard J Wasserug
Stain Technology Vol 51 No2 1976
If you can't get this, or want other references to variants of the technique
I can supply more details
Best of luck
Hamish

Subject: procedure staining for bone and cartilage
I was wondering if anybody does or has done a stain for bone and cartilage
on mouse pups using Alizarin Red S and Alcian Blue. The investigator
brought a great picture in a book and asked me to do this stain but I can't
find a procedure.
