RE: VEGF Immuno

We always get lots of staining with VEGF but have not concluded that it is
necessarily non-specific. Just like Factor 8, VEGF seems to be highly
expressed all over the place in our experience.

		Hi all,

Anybody out there doing VEGF-R1 (Flt) or VEGF-R2 (Flk-1)
antibody staining. We
are presently using antibodies from Santa Cruz on
formalin-fixed rat tissue.
Unfortunately, after many tries (varying antigen retrieval,
blocking, dilutions,
etc.) we are getting lots of unspecific staining. I have
also been told that
there is no real good control for these specific VEGF's, but
lung should stain
		positive.

		Any thoughts?
