papain digestion

Dear Freinds
I have been asked to to an papain digestion of some bovine small intestine
for parasitology,need to know the strength of papain required. I have been
told 3.6 mg papain in 50 ml water with 20 mg EDTA. Have any of you had any
experience with this ?. Need help. Thanks Marlene
