Dear ellen
I believe there is, the reason I was taught to use Methanol with Wright's
Stain was because the stain itself is made with Methanol, so miscibilty (sp?)
is better and stain quality is better. Other alcohols will fix the slide
fine, but may alter the appearance of the nuclei, I would suppose, I have
only used methanol, so I dont formally know what slides would look like with
anything else.
