I also think it is important to put a note of explanation in your procedures that use these "out-dated" dyes, that they have been tested and proven stable and will be tested annuallly, yadda, yadda, yadda.  (It has been my experience that inspectors look for those "yaddas" whenever anything is slightly unusual.)   Sandosis
