in 1997 Andra Kennah, a Pathologist Assistant from Ohio, wrote a very nice
Tech Sample Exercise for me on this subject.  Tech Sample is an ASCP
subscription education program, so not really a journal I can cite for you.
i remember that what most impressed me about her work, was the wonderful
morphology of her tissue after treatment with strong formic acid.  i guess
it is like hier, all the things we were taught were bad for tissue
morphology get thrown out the window.
