I have been trying to look at rat middle ear mucosa in a whole mount manner. 
the protocol that i have (written by Mirko Tos in Denmark) calls for 
floating the mucosa in a chamber filled with anise oil, colophonium, and 
kinin-chloride and sealing it paraffin. However, I have not found any 
colophonium or kinin-chloride in any of the catalogs. Is there any other way 
that anyone may know how to process whole mount middle ear mucosa or where 
one may find colophonium or kinin-chloride?
