Fellow netters,
Any of you veterinary science people ever hear of osteodystrophy in weimaraner puppies being caused by combined distemper/parvo virus vaccines? I am about to get a weim puppy and have been advised to enter into a lengthy vaccination schedule to avoid problems.
My vet did a bit of research and found a paper stating that distemper virus had been isolated from a few puppies with osteodystrophy and two vaccine virus strains had been implicated, but not proven. She found nothing about using combination vaccines.
I am wondering if this is just another urban legend?
Thanks,
Cathie Crukley
