Hi Maree,
Elmer's (trade name) glue is ordinary white household glue, that can be
used as an adhesive. Make up a 0.5% solution in distilled water, dip
clean microscope slides in it for 5 minutes, drain and let air dry.
Store in slide boxes. I used it for IHC until poly-L-lysine, Aptes and
Plus slides became widely available. Good luck!
