At one lab I worked at we used Histoclear with the acrylic mounting medias
"Eukitt" and "Permaslip"(Newcomer supply) with excellent results. We like
the Permaslip because it comes in a small can with a nozzle just right for
dropping mounting media on the slide. No media jars to mess with.

The manufacturers of histoclear sent me a leaflet which advised me to allow
my section to try completely after dehydrating before coverslipping with
DPX. This seems to cure the problem
