I have been experimenting with the "ISOTEMP 205" waterbath from Fisher Scientific. I have used it mainly for the HercepTest, but have also used it for other markers including CD15, CD30, NSE, chromogranin, ER, PR, Ki-67, and others. So far it has worked well. I generally incubated slides at 95 degrees for 20 minutes (HercepTest - 40 minutes). Immunoreactivity has been comparable to our steamer, but with less tissue loss.
