We cut 40 um frozen brain sections, float them on buffer, pick them up on
gelatin coated slides, keep them vertical, and let them air dry for at least 30
min. If we do special stains they can dry overnight if you have the time. If
we are going to IHC we only dry for 30 minutes. Large brain adult sections
need to dry longer than embryonic spinal cord. Hope this helps
