Sorry we ignored you Joyce.
I can comment on the first item in your post. My preference is to
turn implants over dry. I really don't see a good reason to place
them into any solution that likely will have some hazard associated
with it.
just as an aside although you didn't raise this issue, I think
patients should be discouraged from picking these things up
themselves if their interest is in product (implant) failure since
their evidentiary value may be compromised simply because it might be
claimed that the patient could have tampered with the device. We
usually offer to make the implant available to a legal representative
of the patient who will be more knowledgeable about such matters.
