Water baths for histology lab, smaller sizes, Fisher/other vendors
run anywhere from $525 to $675 with nice shallow design, depending on height of
coplin jar or dish used. Have vendors bid on baths,
or your sales rep, they usually give a better deal than
catalog prices. Baths with vendor name attached are adequate, have one,
and keep it carefully calibrated. For clarification, these are standard
waterbaths, and not tissue section flotation baths.

Reference on waterbath retrieval, Elia JM and M Margiotta, Low temperature
antigen restoration of steroid hormone receptor proteins in routine paraffin
sections, J Histotechnology, 20(2):155-158, 1997.

there have been recent comments about using waterbaths at higher temps with
great success, gentle on sections. These H'net messages are
archived (Rats!, took address home, someone help there!)
