To anyone on histonet that thinks that vendor comments should not be welcome,
remember this:

1. Vendors sponsor most of the educational opportunities that we all need and
depend on. Where would NSH and the state societies be without the support of
our vendors?

2. Most of the representatives for the vendors are histotechs. That means
they have years of valuable experience and expertise to share.

3. Often we forget all the freebies the vendors provide and the demos and
other help they give.

4. How will the vendors know what it is we need and how to better their
products if we do not communicate with them? Is this not what we need?

5. Some of the best friends I have are vendors and I don't and can't always
purchase their products, but I know I can count on them to help me out if I
have a problem.

So when criticizing the vendors for their responses, take a minute to think
about what they do for all of the histotechs working out there and reconsider
that position. It is rare that we see any vendors blatantly using this forum
to advertise or promote their specific product unless we asked for their
recommendations.

It is not often that I feel the need to voice my opinion on Histonet.
Mostly, I enjoy reading all the various information out there and discussing
it with my coworkers but I felt strongly about this issue and wanted to let
the vendors out their know I support and welcome their input on Histonet.

Sincerely,
