Bob,
        really.  You have extensive experience in many areas and should realize that
some users of the histonet have very limited or even no histology experience. If someone
asks what may appear to some to be a stupid question, its probably because they don't
know where to start to look for the answer. Other question could on the surface be
solved using "common sense". The question is "what is common sense". In many cases
common sense is really previous experience.
A lot of what I see I also regard as basic questions that could be easily answered by
looking in the appropriate text. However say you are a beginner and have no idea of what
the appropriate text is and no one in your workplace to ask.
Sometimes very basic questions go to the heart of the  matter and may be questioning
things which we have accepted because of common practice.
If you have a question, even a really basic one,  please ask it, you may be helping
others.
