>I hope somebody will give me a good suggestion to overcome these possible >drawback of Microm. Has anyone tried a magnetic blade with Microm? The magnetic blade is the best way to go in my opinion. You can use the whole blade numerous times since they are so durable. I am not sure if the vacuum works with them you might ask your rep. I also ordered both guide plate sizes. I have the microm that you can control the block temperature separate from the chamber temp and that is definitely a plus if you are working with animal tissues or have to do serial sections. anita (no kick back from Microm I just really like my machine)
