Re new hoods, look into "ductless workstations" manufactured by Misonix,
Inc. (1938 New Highway, Farmingdale NY 11735, 516-694-9555, 516-694-9412
[fax], msonsale@aol.com). These are what we ordinarily call portable fume
hoods, but appear to be technologically more advanced. Kimberly Brecher,
Marketing Manager, recently wrote a 1-page article describing this product
line in American Clinical Laboratory Products. I have not seen this
particular product and know nothing else about it, but it appears worth
investigating. Good luck.
