I don't recall it happening like this. It is like family. j-----Original Message-----From: histonet-bounces@lists.utsouthwestern.edu[mailto:histonet-bounces@lists.utsouthwestern.edu]On Behalf Of MarshallTerry Dr,Consultant HistopathologistSent: Wednesday, June 23, 2004 11:41 AMTo: Traczyk7@aol.com; HistoNet@pathology.swmed.eduSubject: RE: [Histonet] Steve SlapHow very sad. There is certainly a point of no return in which the cells are just too sick to pump, regulate, self-heal and whatever, and this is invariably fatal. Infection is frequently the precipitant.May he go, if he goes, in peace.I'm sure we wish him well.I can't remember the list being in this position before - has it happened?Dr Terry L Marshall, B.A.(Law), M.B.,Ch.B.,F.R.C.Path Consultant Pathologist Rotherham General Hospital South Yorkshire England terry.marshall@rothgen.nhs.uk-----Original Message-----From: Traczyk7@aol.com [mailto:Traczyk7@aol.com]Sent: 23 June 2004 14:19To: HistoNet@pathology.swmed.eduSubject: [Histonet] Steve SlapThis is to let you all know that Steve is not doing well at all, despite Lisa's previous optimism. It seems that his body is just too compromised to recover. After just a short time in a nursing home, he is back in the hospital. Infection has set in and he is running a very high fever. I spoke with his mother yesterday and she is resigned that she is here to say good bye to her son. Lisa and her have been holding all night vigils for two days now. Please keep Steve's family in your prayers as this will be the most difficult time for them.I will keep you posted on any developments.Regards,Dorothy _______________________________________________Histonet mailing listHistonet@lists.utsouthwestern.eduhttp://lists.utsouthwestern.edu/mailman/listinfo/histonet_______________________________________________Histonet mailing listHistonet@lists.utsouthwestern.eduhttp://lists.utsouthwestern.edu/mailman/listinfo/histonetConfidentiality Notice ** The information contained in this message may be privileged and is confidential information intended for the use of the addressee listed above.
