RE: [Histonet] Slide trays

From:Gary Gill

Hello Bob:

Probably less expensive to order new replacement folders from Bioindustrial
Products for about $4/each. Available with different color hinge tape
(e.g., black, blue, red, yellow, green) to identify different types of
slides.

Subject: [Histonet] Slide trays

I'm doing rather high volume pathology in a lab that uses the familiar old
twenty-slide cardboard trays - the ones with "INDEX" in a very retro type
font
on the front.

Of course, nobody in the history of pathology has ever thrown away a slide
tray, however old and battered. The result is that our old trays have
accumulated numerous scribbles and stains on the tray bottoms, and these
dark marks
interfere with looking at the slide with the unaided eye before putting
under the
microscope.

Has anybody ever painted over the stains and scribbles with a nice
easy-to-apply white paint? What product have you used for this?
