brdu in decalcified bone?

From:"Garlits, John"

Hello,

I am writing to ask if anybody has experience using BRDU in decalcified bone. We typically use acid decalcification of formalin-fixed mouse bone. I had heard that the decalcification could cause problems for subsequent BRDU immunohistochemistry. Is it necessary to use EDTA instead?

Thanks!
