Re: CAP Inspection
Have to agree with Mr. Della Speranza on that one. We had our CAP in
January and our inspector concentrated on temperature logs, staining QC, and
read all the procedures. He even had me walk him through a couple of
specimens.
I had cases pulled for review that consisted of special stains, immunos,
frozen section cases, corrected reports, cases that were sent out for
consultation. He appreaciated that, but when I had my CLIA inspection in
April, that inspector picked a date from 2001 and 2002. He didn't want to
see what samples I pulled. Just follow the checklist and everything should
work out fine.
