RE: saffron and humidity - re-submitted

From:Hermina Borgerink

My apologies Bob, if I erroneously called the product I used to buy a "synthetic". It has been many years since I purchased this dye. I remember it came in powder form and was not terribly expensive. Accordingly I assumed it was a synthetic product.
Sincerely,
Hermina

Hermina Borgerink describes Safran du Gātinais as a synthetic. It's natural
saffron also - a particular geographic origin often specified in histology, for
no reason I know of. I don'tt think a synthetic form of the dye has been
made. Sounds like a job for Dick Dapson at Anatech.
