RE: Productivity

From:"LaFriniere, Mike"

Hi Wendy,

Currently NSH has a task force that is working on this very issue, we
currently are 75% into the collection phase of the data Nation wide. We hope
to publish this data as well as work with the accreditation agencies
concerning "workload reporting" in the Pathology Laboratory. In addition,
demonstrate National standard averages and simplified worksheets for
individual Pathology Laboratories can compare their laboratory productivity.

Feel free to contact me if there is an issue you need resolved immediately
and I can give you the average we currently have on record.

Regards.

Subject: Productivity

Hello,
I am trying to do a survey on productivity in order to get another
histotech in my department. Could anyone please let me know how many
Pathologists are in your facility, how many Histotechs, and how many
cases/blocks you do per year?

CAP use to have a way of determining your daily productivity, does anyone
remember how that works?
All responses will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
