RE: Processor Questions/ Alcian Blue counter stain

From:Tony Henwood

Kevin,

For Alcian Blue counterstain, try Nuclear Fast Red or even a Haematoxylin (We routinely use Harris's). The two blues contrast very well.

Subject: Processor Questions/ Alcian Blue counter stain

We have a Sakora VIP E150-300 ( we just got the basket and the instruction manual, so thanks for all the offers of help from all of you to help me with those items) We are getting the service man in either tomorrow or the day after. My doctor has told me to come up with some pertinent questions. So....
We are a Derm Laboratory, we dont have may blocks each day. So any variables I should be questioning about. Also if anyone out there has some questions they want me to ask on there behalf, I would be more than pleased to help.

What are people using  for an Alcian Blue counter stain?
