Mohammad & Denise, we use both 'Mollifex" by BDH or make 20% KOH, check
the nail every so often to if it is soft enough, it may take an hour or
more.

Muhammad, you can use any routine fungal stain, we use PAS, you have 
trouble keeping the section on even with PAS let along a silver 
technique. We coat our slides with 'Aquadhere' which is a wood glue, 
this works in the majority of cases. 
PS soften the nail prior to cutting with whichever method you like prior

to cutting.
