We need a Gram's staining method that does not use picric acid or ether.
The safety folks have a real problem with storing either of these
chemcals. I have used engine starting fluid in a spray can for ether. It
is safe to store in a pressurized can, but the picric acid is still a
problem. I am sure others have already solved this problem.
