Re: storing frozen slides?

I do everything you've done with one exception. I recommend wrapping
each slide individually in aluminum foil, much like a stick of chewing
gum, before placing into the slide box. works great and avoids the
problem you cited.

Any suggestions for storing frozen sections? I made many sections ahead
of
time to avoid multiple freeze thaw cycles of my blocks and the
consequential
degradation of RNA from thawing. However the sections are developing
ice
crystals covering the slides, not sure if the ice will harm the
sections or
the RNA. I have them in a microslide box, in a tuperware container at
-80
degrees. I recently added some drierite to the tuperware container,
hopefully that will help. What do other people do to store frozen
slides?
