optimal staining occurs  between pH 4-4.5 so you should be good to go.

I am trying to get the eosin I am making up as strong as possiable, I
have added enough Acetic acid to take it down to 4.5ph. Can anyone tell
me what is the best ph to get the most staining with least amount of
time.
