RE: Water Bath CAP Inspection Checklist Question

From:"Tague, Curtis"

That is a ridiculous requirement. There ARE some of us who are competent enough to discern between one section and the other, sure error occur but this requirement will not eliminate the risk, in my opinion. It will only slow me down.

Does the CAP inquire with lab personnel prior to making these decisions? Maybe they should be required to only have on case in their office at a time. Read it, return it to the secretaries and pick up another case... to ensure that cases aren't misdiagnosed as was the case with that breast Ca. a few months back.

If I have a block that needs to be soaked between levels, rather than wait, I will cut a second block to better utilize my time, this will only slow me down.

Sorry if the complaining bothers you all, I know it's the law, I just don't like it. I don't like going 60 MPH either. LOL

Sandy,
basically, they are looking to see if the waterbath is cleaned after every
block.
