In the text by Luna Lee (ed.) Manual of histologic staining methods of the Armed forces Institute of Pathology. he describes a method for Oil Red 0 in parafin sections, but the lipids must be insolubilized using a mixture of osmiun tetraoxide and potassium dichromate before procesing, as the standard procesing extract the lipids.
