Dear All:

 

I have a Gram control block, but the bacteria are in the horn of the skin with all of the fibrin and serum, so this part stains very deeply even when the rest is decoulorised, how can I reduce the staining in this part, any options.

 

Also I use my linistainer to take take my sections to water. I sometimes get disracted by the passing pathologist. So they sometimes get to the Haematoxalin stage. What I am interested to know is can I still use these slides if I destain with acid alcohol and then use for a gram stain.
