RE: Myogenin control

From:"Drew Sally A."

One thing I know about myogenin is that the controls must be either cut
fresh or kept frozen-it's one of those that "loses it" if kept at room temp.
Our antibody is from BioCare Medical, our controls are all rhabdos...and we
run our slides on the Ventana stainers. If you'd like further info, you're
more than welcome to contact me.

I am in need of a good positive control for myogenin. I have tried
several blocks and am not getting very good results. We used to get
good staining and now... nothing. Not sure what is going on but would
appreciate any input, including what antibody, dilution, pre-treatment,
etc. We have been using one from Santa Cruz Biotechnology. Thanks in
advance for your help!
