Xylene Resistant labels

From:Andrew Kennedy

Hi Roxanne

We use a Zebra Stripe printer with an ink ribbon and "solvent resistant" labels. However we did have a problem with our Tissue Tek tape coverslipper and pre-labelled slides - the little roller that flattens the tape coverslip smudged or rubbed the ink off the labels! We couldn't rub the ink off ourselves with fingers/gloves/xylene/or anything else - one of life's little mysteries!

We now use a glass coverslipper, so we don't have that problem...however because we have opted to use 50mm coverslips we now need to find a supplier of smaller labels so we can prelabel slides and not have a coverslip sitting on top of the bottom of the label and hence a huge air bubble at the top of the label....it's never ending...
