Not even on line.I was leaning toward a Bielsowsky..but didn't know if a microwave procedure was available.. I'm going to look into it! Thanks much!----- Original Message -----From: Cathy GorrieSent: Monday, June 10, 2002 7:08 PMSubject: Re: Alzeheimers stainWhat you may be looking for is a MODIFIED BIELSOWSKY (GARVEY) SILVER stain. It is a silver stain and as such is reasonably fiddly, but part of the heating of the silver solution is performed in the microwave. If done well it demonstrates both plaques and tangles in Alzheimer's brains. Methods can be found in most histology text books, in the nervous tissue section.Cheers, CathAt 6:21 PM -0500 9/6/02, Melissa Jensen wrote:Looking for a microwave stain to demonstrate plaque in the brain.....Can ya help me out?
