Lexington Medical Center in W.Columbia, S.C. (a suburb of Lexington) has an immediate opening for a Pathology Assistant.  Qualifications include:  BA or BS degree in biological or chemical science.  Graduate of an approved pathology assistant training program or three years of relevant pathology training under a qualified pathologist.  Registered Histotechnologist or registry eligible a plus.  Basic functions: Preforms gross examinations of designated surgical and outpatient tissues.  Assists the pathologists in the initial preparation and completion of post-mortem examinations.  SunQuest or CoPath Lab Computer system experience preferred but not required.

Lexington Medical Center is approx. 250 beds.  It is located in a rapidly growing area in South Carolina.  It is mid way between the mountains and the beach.  It is a pretty southern town and nicer people you will never meet.  Come Join us!!
