Estimating evaporation rates

From:Mikael Niku

Dear histonetters,

I'm trying to estimate evaporation of formamide from
a hybridization solution, for safety reasons. For this
purpose, the solution is essentially 50% formamide,
50% water (+ salts + other usual stuff, but I guess
this can be omitted here). This is heated at 85C
in the denaturation step.

How could I approximate the amount of evaporated formamide,
provided that I know the total loss of liquid (as mass)?
Some water is also inevitably evaporating, but what would
be the relative ratios?

My chemistry and physics seem to be too rusty to
help me out...
