Is there any way to remove Giemsa from stained blood smears?  I stained 
MANY slides of bird blood with Giemsa acquired from my department's 
stock room.  Unfortunately, the stain was far expired, and the slides 
are of poor quality.  Can the stain be removed and the slides restained 
with fresh Giemsa?  Any thoughts are extremely appreciated.  Thanks.
