Let me clarify my post just a bit - we only ask the patient to pay if it is
their request for second opinion. If a reference hospital is making the
request, they give us their account numbers. I am fortunate in that Saint
Joseph's is such a caring hospital, that if a patient is extremely
distraught or sick, I can charge the shipping to social accountability.
Sometimes I make that decision with my heart! j
