RE: bar coding blocks

I haven't done anything like that but here is a good web site for all things
concerning barcodes.

Subject: bar coding blocks

Hello Histonetters!
Is anyone using a bar coding system for organizing a block archive?
What type of labeling system is needed to generate the bar code and
adhere it permanently to the block?
How about long term storage (decades)? What is the best way to maintain
the antigenicity - vacuum packing, controlled temperature? If you use
these types of systems or can recommend any other suggestions, would you
kindly pass your experience along?
Thanks for your help
