I work for a veterinary diagnostic lab, and I am not registered.  I was 
hired as a histotechnologist because I had a B.S. in Human Physiology and a 
minor in CHemistry.  I was trained by the senior HT in here who is a 
registered Med Tech.  I do all of the bench work in here - embedding, 
microtomy, staining, coverslipping and special stains.  Of course, I will be 
taking the exam at the beginning of the year, when I am eligible.  Hope this
