It is such a waste to change so many blades. If it is safety that you are
worried about, what we do is simply remove the whole blade carriage when we are
cleaning and replace it immediately once we are ready. At the cryostat,accidents
don't usually happen while cutting.
On the other hand if you are using knives, it is even more of a hassle but the
same idea may be applied.
