Bruce-

As of right now, we are using Bouins for male reproductive tissues,
specifically testes and epididymides. However, we are investigating the use
of Davidson's and a modified Davidson's fixatives for these tissues.
EVERYONE is hoping the results are at least comparable.

Subject: BOUINS/Picric Acid !!

I know that this subject has been discussed before but with the "discussion"
RE:
Picric Acid, thought I'de ask what people/labs are using instead, to fix
their specimens in, that gives results as good as/better than BOUINS!! Also,
how are lab's disposing of their used/waste Bouins. I have a couple of
Academics that love the stuff & the results from fixing testis/ovarian
tissue in it. I'de like very much to replace the Bouins with ?????? Thanks
in advance, Bruce in OZ!!
