There is a pen out there that works wonderfully for slides, cassettes and
whatever else you want to mark-------and they don't dry out!!!!! We get
them through our office supply catalog(U.S. Office Products), but I have
seen them in office supply stores also. They are made by Sanford and they
are industrial strength. They are called Sharpie Industrial Markers (they
must be the industrial type or they won't stay on through the alcohols and
xylenes). The description says it is permanent ink that resists most
chemical washes, ultra-violet light and extreme heat. We have been using
them for about 4 years and love them. In our area they cost about $1.09
each but well worth it!!! Hope you can find them in your areas!!!!
